🇺🇸It was one of those early mornings. We were standing by Laguna Capri on a freezing dawn. The sun began to rise and the rocky spires of Mount Fitz Roy started to burn while the landscape remained in darkness. The peaks turned a vivid, almost unreal red, as if they were on fire. As the sun got higher, the colours progressively shifted from red to orange and Mother Nature being the artist that she is, rewarded us with one of the most beautiful sunrise one can experience while in the Patagonia. 🇪🇸Era una de esas madrugadas. Estábamos de pie junto a Laguna Capri y estaba helando. El sol comenzó a salir y las agujas rocosas del monte Fitz Roy comenzaron a arder mientras el paisaje permanecía en la oscuridad. Los picos tomaron un rojo vivo, casi irreal, como si estuvieran en llamas. A medida que el sol subía, los colores cambiaban progresivamente de rojo a naranja y la madre naturaleza, siendo la artista que es, nos recompensó con uno de los amaneceres más hermosos que uno puede experimentar en la Patagonia. 🇺🇸 After many weeks lying in the sun and doing nothing in Buenos Aires, I’m starting to feel restless and need to be active again. So I’m packing my bag and getting ready to go on a trip to one of the most beautiful places on earth. I can’t wait to be surrounded of mountains and lakes, and to go hiking to amazing view points at crazy hours in the morning and getting anxious because I don’t know if I’ll get the good light for the photos I want to take 😅 good times ahead

🇪🇸 Después de varias semanas en Buenos Aires tumbada al sol y sin hacer nada, empiezo a sentirme inquieta y con la necesidad de volver a estar activa. Así que estoy empacando mi maleta y preparándome para ir de viaje a uno de los lugares más lindos del mundo. No veo la hora de estar rodeada de montañas y lagos, y hacer hiking en miradores increíbles a horas locas de la mañana y ponerme ansiosa porque no sé si tendré buena luz para las fotos que quiero tomar 😅 se vienen buenos tiempos!

Today we have a photo of one of the most popular and most beautiful places in Val di Funes and the Dolomites. I think this is one of the most representative images of northern Italy. It is not difficult to get there, but if you go in a campervan like us, things can get a little more complicated. That night we ended up sleeping in a parking lot next to this church, the only place where we could enter with our huge car. It might sound crazy uncomfortable, but the truth is that sleeping surrounded by these mountains in such a spectacular place was priceless ✨

Hoy toca foto de uno de los lugares más populares y más hermosos del Val di Funes y de las Dolomitas. Creo que esta es una de las imágenes más representativas del norte de Italia. No es difícil llegar, pero si van en campervan como nosotros la cosa se complica un poco más. Esa noche terminamos durmiendo en un parking al lado de esta iglesia, el único lugar a donde pudimos entrar con nuestro carro gigante. Puede parecer una locura, pero la verdad es que dormir rodeados de estas montañas en un lugar tan espectacular no tiene precio 🤩

Finally started to process the photos from the lovely Dolomites 💛
First stop: Lago di Carezza at sunrise.
It was super cloudy when we arrived. The clouds refused to let me see the peaks of the mountains, and when I was frustrated and about to leave, I looked back and for an instant the skies cleared up, letting me see all its beauty to take this photo. It lasted only a few minutes but it was magical ✨

Primera parada: Lago di Carezza al amanecer.
Apenas llegamos estaba súper nublado, las nubes se resistían a dejarme ver los picos de las montañas, y cuando ya estaba frustrada y a punto de irme, mire hacia atrás y por un instante se abrió todo dejándome ver todo su esplendor para sacarle esta foto. Fueron solo unos minutos pero fueron mágicos ✨

Viajar y trabajar no es fácil. Parece muy glamo

Viajar y trabajar no es fácil.

Parece muy glamoroso y perfecto en las redes sociales, pero détras de camaras puede llegar a ser estresante y agotador, sobretodo cuando tenemos en cuenta los horarios de 2 personas con trabajos y flexibilidades diferentes y cuando sumamos que la aficionada a las fotos quiere levantarse todos los días para ver el amanecer en un lugar en donde normalmente hay que subir muchas escaleras o una que otra montaña en la oscuridad 🙈

Normalmente en los viajes estamos con falta de sueño, físicamente agotados de correr para aquí y para allá y adémas cumpliendo las responsabilidades de un trabajo a tiempo completo.

En este viaje a Budapest nos gastamos hasta la última gota de energia que teníamos, y eso que todavía no habíamos pasado por las montañas en las Dolomitas 😱 Pero la emoción de estar en un lugar nuevo, de cambiar de rutina, de escuchar otro idioma, de comer otra comida, de ver otro paisaje por la ventana, todo eso es lo que nos llena de dopamina y de alguna manera sobrevivimos y aunque en los viajes nos exigimos mucho y nos excedemos, al mismo tiempo es cuando más vivos nos sentimos.

Traveling and working is not easy.
It looks very glamorous and perfect on social media, but behind the scenes it can be stressful and exhausting. Especially when we take into account the schedules of 2 people with different jobs and flexibilities and when we add that the (not a) photographer wants to get up super early everyday to see the sunrise in a place where you usually have to climb many stairs or a mountain in the dark.
Usually while traveling we are sleep deprived, physically exhausted from running from palce to place while fulfilling the responsibilities of a full-time job. On this trip to Budapest we used up our very last drop of energy, and we hadn’t even been to the Dolomites yet. But the excitement of being in a new place, without a routine, inmersed in a different language, eating different kinds of food, having a different view through the window, all of this is what fills us with dopamine and somehow we survive. And although when traveling we exceed ourselves, at the same time it is when we feel most alive.
